Hi,
We are currently focusing on the v3.1 release and v2.5.x to v3.x migration work. Once these are completed, we should be able to resume our development on synthetic full backup. Most of the development is already done. We expect it to be available sometime in April time frame.
Sorry for the delay. It just that v3.1 and the migration work has been taking longer than expected.
Regards
Kshama

Thanks.
I have a need to backup 3 customers at 2TB each, now back in sept of 2009 you kept saying it will be released in 1 month or few month, now it is 2010 and other projects in the way of releasing this product. I am at the point i need to make a decision do i need to introduce another backup software for my bigger clients? or do you guys have a time frame? 1 month?
I love your software don't get me wrong, but as you know this world moves on, and what used to be big back then (lets say 10gb) now it is quite normal for a company of 25 users to have 2TB of critical data. I am just trying ot find a solution for our current delema with 2TB customers.
please help, can you please let us know when you are releassing? |

Hi dmalishkin,
We're trying our best. Though we cannot promise that it will definitely be available by April, we very much expect that we will be at least very close to integrating synthetic full into the product by then.
The development had already started some time back and had been put on hold till v2.5.x to v3.x migration is completed. If you like, we can have our partner relations team give you a call to discuss this in detail. Please send them an email at storegrid-partner AT vembu DOT com with the number and time when they can call you.
Regards
Kshama
