I had a question about new SG 3.0 version. Does new version differ in anyway as far as how it backs up or processes data? Does it improve any performance at all? Transfer rate improvement?

Hi dmalishkin,
We haven't done any major changes in v3.0 for performance improvement compared to v2.5.5/v2.5.1. We have however done a few changes in v3.1 (that is expected to be release in a week or two) that improves the performance in the backup server for concurrent backups.
If you are seeing performance issues, please contact our support team and they will do their best to analyze what is causing the slow backups for you.
