We'll definitely look at providing more branding options in the future releases. In our first production ready release, you will be able to change the companyname, product name and the logos.
@Talos,
we'll update the AIR version in our production release. Yes, StoreGridUI sounds better. We'll update it. Regarding not backing up sys and com files, we want to keep the options simple and not over complicate the UI. Probably we can provide the option to enable/disable this in the advanced options. Will look into it and if doable, we'll do it now. Else we will do it in the next version.

I dont agree with it at all. Partners are not using the name StoreGrid so StoreGrid.exe as a process directs people directly searching for StoreGrid on Google when they see the process running on their PC and dont know what it is. I prefer a more personalized name or at least SGgui.exe |

Kshama,
In Beta2 the enhancement states that it is apache less flex client. Does this mean that customer only needs to install the flex client?
When we tried to do an install of Beta2 on a clean machine, the installer said it was unable to fine the SGConfiguration file. |

Hi nik24,
Can you please try uninstalling the client, clean up the installation directory and try it again. If you still face the same issue, please contact our support team at storegrid-support AT vembu DOT com with the access to the client machine so that they can analyze what is going on.
Regards

I fully agree with this. If a client pulls up a process list I'd like them to be able to tell what it is, not start hitting Google. Will it be possible to allow us to change the process name at some point? From a branding perspective it would look much better. |

nibb, MBP,
The branded Flex client builds will have the product name for the exe and not StoreGrid.exe.
StoreGrid.exe and StoreGridUI.exe will be the exes for non-branded builds.

I take it this client isn't compatible with the latest server version?
Request from client <client name> is rejected. Lower version client is not supported to this server. |

Great ! I was confused then when I read the other reply. Thats good news as people usually search or ask themselves what a process is if the name is weird or not know to them, some would even kill it directly or uninstall it. |
