StoreGrid's Professional Edition comes in two separate builds - a "Server build" that should be installed on the machine(s) that are to be configured as Backup Server or Replication server, and a "Client build" that should be installed on client machines, i.e., machines that backup their files to the backup server.

These builds are fully functional with all the StoreGrid features included and can be used in trial as well as in production environments. The server installations don't require any licenses. The client installations can be run for a trial period of 30 days on the StoreGrid Client machines without adding any client licenses. If you wish to stress test StoreGrid Professional Edition client installations beyond the 30-day trial period, you will need the Test Licenses.

Setting up StoreGrid

Step 1 - Install StoreGrid Server (v3.1) in Backup Server (and Replication Server)

To install StoreGrid Server in your Backup and Replication Server machines, simply download and run the installer listed below. When the installer is run, it will automatically first download and install MySQL Database Server and MySQL Connector for the StoreGrid server's backend. It will then download and install the StoreGrid Server build. You can find the User Guide for StoreGrid Server installations here.

NOTE: Please be aware that StoreGrid Professional v3.1 Server builds cannot be installed on top of the older (v2.x) StoreGrid installations.

Step 2 - Install StoreGrid Client (v3.1) build in client machine

Download the appropriate Client Build from the download links below and install the build in the client machine you want to backup files from. You can find the User Guide for StoreGrid Client installations here.

NOTE: Please be aware that StoreGrid Professional v3.1 Client builds cannot be installed on top of the older (v2.x) StoreGrid installations.
