Retention Schedule Configuration
Overview
StoreGrid cleans up the version files as per the retention policy configured for the backup in the client machine. These policies can be configured to clean up the version files either immediately or on a daily/ weekly/ monthly basis.
Retention Schedule Configuration
The description of the table columns are given below.
Clean up immediately after completion of each backup schedule: Choose this option to schedule the configured retention policy immediately after the completion of each backup schedule. Run Daily: Select a time of the day when the retention policy should run daily. This will schedule retention everyday at the configured time. Run Weekly: Select a time and day of the week when the retention policy should run. StoreGrid will schedule the retention every week on the chosen day and time. Multiple days of the week can also be selected. Run Monthly: Select the time and particular day of a month when the retention policy should run. This will schedule retention every month on the configured day and time.
Note: Apart from the configurations in this page, retention policy can also be manually scheduled from "Server Admin -> Group Management -> [Group Name] -> [Client Name] -> Run Retention Cleanup (Action for particular Backup)" page.
