Reseller Management in StoreGrid Server

Overview

This page is where reseller administration/management is done in the StoreGrid server. You can easily manage and organize the various StoreGrid clients backing up to the server under particular customers. The customers can be organized under the respective resellers and managed.

How to get here in the StoreGrid Web Console?
 In the top menu, select: "Server Admin-> Reseller Management"

In the Reseller Management page, the list of resellers is listed in a tree format on the left hand side and in a table format on the right hand side. The reseller tree will have list of customers under each reseller node and the list of clients under each customer node. The client node will list backup schedules configured in each StoreGrid client.

Clicking on the reseller's root node (The Server Node) in the tree will display the List Of Resellers in a table format on the right hand side.

Clicking on a Reseller node in the tree will display the List Of Customers under the Reseller in a table format on the right hand side.

Clicking on a Customer node in the tree will display the List Of Clients under the customer in a table format on the right hand side.

Clicking on a Client node in the tree will display the List Of Backup Schedules under the client in a table format on the right hand side.

Clicking on a Backup Schedule node in the tree will display the different Server Side Backup Reports (Backup Report, Restore Report and Deleted Reports) for the backup schedule.

The table columns and the actions for the list of resellers table on the right hand side is described below:

  • Add New Reseller : Clicking on this link will take you to the 'Add New reseller' page. You can add a new reseller in the StoreGrid Server from this page.

  • Reseller Name : This is the name of the reseller you provided when the reseller was added to the server.

  • MCALs Allotted - This is the number of MCALs allotted to the reseller.

  • Total MCALs used till date - This is the total number of MCALs used by the different clients of customers under the reseller.

  • Allotted Space : This is the total space allotted to the reseller.

  • Used Space : The total disk space currently used by the reseller.

  • Actions : The icons under this column are links to various features to enable you to administer and manage your resellers.

  • Enable / Disable Auto Authorization : Clicking on this icon will toggle between enabling and disabling auto authorization for this reseller. The auto authorization feature is described in more detail in the 'Create A Reseller' section.

    Activate/Deactivate : Clicking on this icon will toggle between activating and deactivating a reseller. If a reseller is deactivated then no client from the reseller can backup to the server.

    Edit Reseller : Clicking on this icon will take you to the 'Edit Reseller' page. You can edit all configurations of a reseller from this page.

    Add New Customer : Clicking on this icon will take you to the 'Add New Customer page'. You can add a Customer to the Reseller.

    Delete Reseller : Clicking on this icon will take you to the 'Delete Reseller' Page. The 'Default Reseller' available by default with StoreGrid installation cannot be deleted.

    Invoice Configuration : Clicking on this icon will take you to the 'Reseller Invoice Configuration' Page. From this page you can enable or disable invoicing for the Reseller.

    Invoice Report : Clicking on this icon will take you to the 'Reseller Invoice Report'. >From this page you can view the generated Reseller invoice reports.

    Deleted Report : Clicking on this icon will take you to the 'Deleted Backup Report', which will list in a table format the list of backup clients and the data that has been deleted by the server administrator.

Some of the features like Configuring Trial Clients Settings, Seed Backup Migration, etc on the left bottom are described below.

  • Trial Client Settings : Clicking on this link will take you to the 'Configuration Settings For Trial Clients' page. You can change various configurations like backup space to be allotted for the Trial Clients, Trial Period, Delete Period etc from this page.

  • Client Migration : Clicking on this icon will take you to the 'Client Migration' page. Using this feature you can migrate the clients from one reseller to another reseller.

  • Seed Backup Migration : Clicking on this icon will take you to the 'Seed Backup Migration' page. Using this feature you can migrate the backup data from one server to another server and then having the clients do the subsequent backups (incremental) to the new server.

  • Replication Server Migration : Clicking on this icon will take you to the 'Replication Server Migration' page. Using this feature you can migrate the backup data from backup server to the replication server and thus seeding the replication server with the initial replicated data. This will enable only incremental replications happening from the backup server to the replication server.
